Quella del "SAVE THE DATE" (segnati la data) è un'usanza tutta americana che sempre di più sta prendendo piede anche quì da noi...
Non sempre, è vero, ma in linea di massima il matrimonio è un evento che si pianifica su tempi lunghi. La fatidica data viene fissata con mesi di anticipo mentre le partecipazioni e gli inviti ufficiali sono spediti soltanto un paio di mesi prima.
Ma se abbiamo amici super-impegnati o parenti che devono arrivare da altre città sarebbe importante avvisarli per tempo in modo che possano organizzarsi i viaggi, le ferie, i soggiorni... E quindi "Save the date"!!
Il "Save the Date" è una sorta di comunicazione informale della data del nostro matrimonio, un modo di far "appuntare" il fatidico giorno sui calendari dei nostri invitati affinchè non dimentichino di tenersi liberi...
Quindi il tono è molto più informale di quello dell'invito (che seguirà a tempo debito) e non contiene troppe informazioni.
Gli americani usano inserire nella busta della partecipazione, oltre all'invito, una "save the date" card.
Noi possiamo scegliere di mandarla molto prima della partecipazione e la forma sarà quella che più si adatta al nostro stile e al tono del nostro evento.
Non solo cartoline, piccoli calendarietti con la data segnata ma anche simpatici magneti da attaccare al frigorifero.
Il tutto ovviamente personalizzabile, con le nostre foto o un'immagine simpatica o romantica e la grafica e i caratteri che più ci rappresentano, vintage, moderni, rock etc etc...

www.etsy.com) si trovano moltissimi "save the date" anche handmade davvero carini, anche realizzati da designer molto quotati...
Tenete presente che spesso, al contrario di quanto si potrebbe pensare, acquistare direttamente dagli USA può essere molto conveniente...!

Not always, it's true, but quite often the wedding is an event you plan on a long time.
The date is set months in advance while the official invitations are sent only a couple of months before.
But if we have over-busy friends or relatives who come from other cities or countries that would be important to tell them in time so they can organize trips, holydays from work, hotels...
And then let's "Save the date"!
The "Save the Date" is kind of informal notification of the date of our marriage, a way to "pin" the date on the calendars of our guests so do not forget to keep free...
So the tone is much more informal than that of the invitation (which will follow) and doesn't contain too much information.
Americans use to insert a "Save the date" card together with the invitation.
We can choose to send it in advance and the form will be the one that fits best our style and the tone of our event.
Not only postcards then but little calendars with the date marked or small cute magnets...
All these are obviously customizable with our own photos or funny and romantic images, with the graphic and font that better rapresent us, vintage, modern, rock...
